What’s Not Included:

We believe in providing our customers with accurate and comprehensive information about DIY solar kit solutions. In order to maintain transparency and ensure clarity regarding our solar kit, we would like to highlight the items that may not be included in the package. It is important for our customers to have a clear understanding of what they can expect when purchasing our solar kit.

Engineering Stamps

Some authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) will require the system plans to be stamped by a licensed structural engineer, electrical engineer, or both. In rare cases the AHJ may require a point load analysis or extra engineering outside the scope of a typical structural review which can increase your engineering fees. Occasionally, the engineer may require design changes in order to stamp the plans. In these cases, the customer will pay any additional charges for equipment that is required due to system design changes, including additional posts or diagonal braces.

Items You May Need to Purchase

Electrical - Wire, conduit, fittings, breakers, AC/DC Disconnects, junction boxes, sub-panels, line filters, placards and other miscellaneous electrical components.

Roof Mounts - Sealants, screws and roofing material. Some metal and flat roofs will require additional materials depending on the type and age of the roof. Certain roof mounted systems may require structural retrofits to the existing roof to ensure the appropriate support for solar panel installation, and such retrofitting is not included in our solar kit.

Ground Mounts - Pipe or tube, fittings, concrete, concrete form tubes and other miscellaneous materials. Depending on your location a ground mounted system may require cross bracing for additional support, we can provide cross bracing for an extra cost. Many installations require equipment that most customers may not have and would need to rent.

During the plan drafting phase of your solar project, our team will work closely with you to assess your specific installation requirements. We will provide you with a comprehensive list of the parts and quantities needed for a successful installation, including those that are not included in our solar kit. This shopping list will serve as a guide for you to purchase the necessary components from your local hardware or electrical supply store. We understand that each installation may have unique specifications, and by providing the shopping list, we aim to ensure that you have the appropriate parts to complete your solar system. Our team will be available to assist you throughout the process and answer any questions you may have regarding the required parts or their installation.
